This week's MEE SPORTS - SJHL Player of the Week is awarded to 20 year-old Scott Degelman of the Humboldt Broncos. Scott is a 6'4, 210 lb left winger from Raymore, Saskatchewan. During the past week Scott had two goals and five assists for seven points in three games. He had one power-play goal, one game winning goal, and one game tying goal. This helped the Humboldt Broncos to a record of 1-1-1 giving them 70 points and putting them 1st place in the League. For the season Scott has accumulated 25 goals and 31 assists for 56 points and 90 penalty minutes. He has nine power-play goals, nine power-play assists, one shorthanded goal, seven first goals, four game winning goals, one game tying goal and two multiple goal games. Honorable Mention Honorable mention goes to two players who also had seven point weeks, 19 year-old Chris Stubel of the Estevan Bruins and 20 year-old Matthew Werry of the Notre Dame Hounds. Stubel, a 6'4, 200 lb defenceman from Estevan, Saskatchewan accumulated two goals and five assists for seven points and 29 penalty minutes in three games. He had two power play goals, one first goal and one insurance goal. For the season Chris has accumulated 11 goals and 26 assists for 37 points and 150 penalty minutes in 46 games. He has seven power-play goals, two first goals, one1 game winning goals, two game tying goals and two insurance goals. Werry, a 6'1, 188 lb left winger from Regina, Saskatchewan accumulated five goals and two assists for seven points and four penalty minutes in four games. He had two power-play goals, two game winning goals, two insurance goals and two multiple goal games. For the season Matthew has 22 goals and 19 assists for 41 points and 52 penalty minutes in 45 games. He has 12 power play goals, two first goals, five game winning goals, one game tying goal, three insurance goals, seven multiple goal games and one hat trick.11/2/04
