Due to the too-calm weather conditions Friday morning, the scheduled NorMan Regionals Sailing Championships were held a little differently. The scheduled three races were turned into one. Competitors, who came from the sailing school held last week in Denare Beach, raced against each other in hopes of being named to the 2010 Power Smart Manitoba Summer Games sailing team. Isaac Dufour Jarvis won Gold, Coltyn Stone Lamontagne, of Winnipeg, earned Silver and Kyla Suss came in third for a Bronze medal. The sailing school, which has taken place over the last three summers, had 19 youth and four adults Ð starting at eight years old. Instructors Ryan van Berkel and Paloma Corrin arrived in Denare Beach from Winnipeg to teach the enthusiasts some new skills.
