Submitted by SJHL Flin Flon Bomber Jason Wark split the nod for Player of the Week with Humboldt Bronco Joey Davies. Player of the Week Joey Davies, Humboldt Broncos & Jason Wark, Flin Flon Bombers 1992 F Joey Davies (Demorestville ON) helped the Broncos advance to the North Division finals by scoring six goals in the final three games of the North semifinals against Melfort. He goes into the next series with a four game goal scoring streak. Davies had a hat trick in game three against the Mustangs and then also scored in Game 4 and picked up a pair in the series clincher. Meanwhile, 1992 F Jason Wark (Campbell River BC) had three goals and four assists in four games played to lead the Bombers into round two against Humboldt. Wark had goals in Games 4, 5, and 6 of the Nipawin series and that includes a three point effort in the Game 6 clincher. He had two points in each of the previous two games. Defenseman of the Week Logan Sproule, Humboldt Broncos 1992 D Logan Sproule (Saskatoon SK) was a catalyst on the back end for the Broncos in their North Division semifinal series with Melfort as he had points in each of their four wins, including a whopping seven assists in three games played last week. Sproule set up four Bronco goals in Game 3, picked up an assist in Game 4, and then found himself on the scoresheet two more times in Game 5. Rookie of the Week Dion Antisin, Notre Dame Hounds 1994 F Dion Antisin (Kelowna BC) makes up one-third of the top line for the Notre Dame Hounds and he has been a physical force as well as an offensive one in the thrilling Sherwood Division semi-final series with Melville. Antisin had the overtime winner for Notre Dame in Game 4 to tie the series at two and also picked up a pair of helpers in Game 5, which saw the Hounds take a 3-games-to-2 lead in the series. He'll found himself lined up with fellow rookie Ian Williams and veteran Brandon Millin for Game 7 on Tuesday. Goaltender of the Week Ty Reichenbach, Notre Dame Hounds & Alex Wakaluk, Melville Millionaires 1993 G Ty Reichenbach (Billings MT) and 1993 G Alex Wakaluk (Bellevue AB) have, pretty much, traded save for save in their Sherwood Division semi-final series and there is no further evidence of that then the fact that both netminders went 2-and-2 with a 1.73-GAA and a .944-SPCT over the last seven days. Wakaluk's best game was on Sunday in Game 6 when the Mils emerged as 2-1 winners in an elimination game; while Reichenbach had a similar performance in Game 4 when the Hounds were 2-1 winners in overtime. The two went head to head on Tuesday for Game 7 in Melville.
