A former Flin Flon Bomber captain is moving on with his hockey career.

1993-born forward Cameron Blair has committed to the University of Saskatchewan Huskies men’s hockey program for the 2014-15 season.

Blair started his junior hockey career with the Bombers at age 17. The one-time member of the Prince Albert Mintos played the better part of four seasons with the Maroon and White, compiling 118 points (48G, 70A) and 200 penalty minutes in 187 games.

Blair served as an assistant captain for two season with the Bombers and was named captain during the 2013-14 season.

At the 2014 trade deadline, Blair was dealt to the Battlefords North Stars, where he added another 16 points (8G, 8A) in 16 regular season games along with nine points (6G, 3A) in 10 playoff games before the Stars were eliminated by the Melville Millionaires.

The Huskies are a member team of the CIS in the Canada West conference, where they finished up third with a 17-10-1 record. They hosted the last two University Cups, the National Championship for the CIS. This past tournament they lost in the final to the Alberta Golden Bears, 3-1.

Blair joins former Bomber Josh Roach on the Huskies.
