Running with the best of them, two athletes from Flin Flon competed in this year's Winnipeg Police Service's Half Marathon. Teslyn Anderson and Maude Trembley-Boulianne, both students at Hapnot Collegiate, ran the 26 kilometer half marathon with just over 1,000 other runners, walkers and joggers. Both in the same age category, the two girls were close in their times. Anderson, who came in at 1:49:27, was ahead of Trembley-Boulianne, who finished at 1:55:11. With the top time sitting at 1:08:29, by Michael Booth of Winnipeg, Anderson found herself ranked at 322nd, while Trembley-Boulianne was in 483rd place, both in the top half of the fifth annual event. The girls ran the Winnipeg Police Service Half Marathon, with the rest of the athletes, at Assinibone Park earlier this month.
