After a disappointing loss against the Estevan Bruins Wednesday night, the Flin Flon Bombers pulled their socks up and got back on the horse as they took down the La Ronge Ice Wolves 9-2 Friday night and the Weyburn Red Wings 7-2 Saturday night. The Bombers scored 16 goals this weekend, which gave them four more points in the Itech Conference race. Although it still wasn't enough to get them out of fourth place, the team had one more home game chance before the Christmas Break to bump themselves up. The Bombers took on the Battlefords North Stars last night. Results were unavailable at press time. The dressing room was a more upbeat atmosphere after Saturday night's game as the guys were focused and brought the mental part of the game that head coach Mike Reagan said was missing from some of their games. "It feels good to be able to do that to two good hockey clubs," says Reagan, referring to the Red Wings and the Ice Wolves. "I have to give credit to he guys," he says. "But I hope the fans aren't expecting seven and eight goal games every night." But the coach says the team was confident and things were working in their favour.
