The Flin Flon Trout Festival isnâ??t here just yet, but there are plenty of things going on in the meantime. Gearing up for the annual summer festival, the photo scavenger hunt will return for another year. This year, teams have from June 7 until June 21 to complete their tasks. Teams are required to take pictures of either themselves or of objects according to the list given. Last year, teams had roughly 200 items to complete by the end of the deadline. Teams were asked to take group pictures while in one bathroom stall, in a closet, and under a vehicle. This yearâ??s list will be a surprise until 5 p.m. on June 7 when a mass e-mail will be delivered. Along with the photo scavenger hunt, the Trout Festival will offer a Cab-r-eh! and Battle of the Bands this month. Like previous years, the fishing derby will be back, but only for a weekend. The challenge will start June 21 and end June 23. Main Street Days are geared up to start June 28 as well as the 80th anniversary at Pioneer Square. A free barbecue and entertainment will help celebrate Flin Flonâ??s 80th birthday. The winners from both the fishing derby and photo scavenger hunt will be announced at the birthday. New this year, the Trout Festival will also offer helicopter rides. As a familiar favourite, the Fish Fry will be back later this month with Big Skinny and the Little Fellas with Moonbath taking centre stage.
