Over 90 paddlers turned out for the very successful Trout Festival canoe events held on Saturday, July 4. A few rain clouds overhead pushed the start time back by an hour. The results are as follows: 18 and under Open 1st Brett Belfry and Michelle Tremblay 2nd Mackenzie Grove and Isaac Dufour Jarvis 3rd Stephan and Thomas Sewap Ladies Open 1st Myrna Guymer and Janet Modler 2nd Penny Grove and Michelle Tremblay 3rd Doris Sewap and Mildred Custer 4th Angie Simpson and Non Henderson Mixed Open 1st Cannon Custer and Gloria Ballantyne 2nd Penny and Dean Grove 3rd Clay and Doris Sewap 4th Wendy and Roger Gregoire Men's Open 1st Clay Sewap and Daryl Brown 2nd Lyle Leclair and Brett Belfry 3rd Dean Grove and Don Bodnarus 4th Glenn Campbell and Dave Price The voyageur canoe event had seven teams participating with funds raised being donated to the recycle center. The fastest team and bragging rights for this year goes to the All-Weather Paddlers made up of Don Bodnarus, Joey Penney, Dean Grove Brett Belfry, Tiffany Anderson, Corrine Matthews, Gord Rowe, Noel Fernadez, Michelle Tremblay and Jamie Vleugals. The draw prizes for all paddlers on the day went to Bob Jarvis, Chuck Morin, Avani Sethi, Eckart Buhlmann, Caitlin Haggerty, Colleen Mckee, Gord Rowe, Lori Suss, Leigh Campbell and Linda Clark.
