It's finally that time of year again! It's Trout Festival weekend. There is lots to do this year with things kicking off today on Main Street. There will be booths to check out, the annual chili and bannock lunch, entertainment, and great company. Tonight's big show will be at the Pioneer Square as Flin Flon celebrates its 80th birthday. Entertainment from local artists will help celebrate the milestone. As well, Trout Festival President Tim Babcock will kick off the festival with announcements of winners from the Photo Scavenger Hunt as well as the fishing derby. There will be plenty to do this weekend on Main Street, at the boardwalk as the annual Canoe Races will be held, and at the Whitney Forum for the Fish Fry. New this year, the Centoba ball diamonds will be the landing zone for helicopter rides. A $40 price tag _ with half of the money being donated back to the Trout Festival _ will give up to four passengers a tour of the City as well as an ariel look of their own house. Rides will be available today and tomorrow at Centoba. Following the Trout Festival will be the annual Canada Day Parade as well as entertainment, activities and a great time in Creighton. Be sure to check out all the excitement as lots of hard work and dedication have gone into planning this festival.
