Another Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League season is upon us as all 12 teams begin training camp today. All 12 teams are very excited at sharpening up the skate blades and taping the sticks as they begin their quest to win not only the Credit Union Cup as SJHL champions, but the Royal Bank Cup as Canadian Junior "A" champs. The La Ronge Ice Wolves go into the season as the defending champs, but many teams including the Notre Dame Hounds, Battlefords Stars, Kindersley Klippers and Weyburn Red Wings are ready to challenge the Ice Wolves for the title. The 2010 preseason will begin on Monday with five games on the schedule. They include the Yorkton Terriers in Melville and the Melfort Mustangs entertaining the Nipawin Hawks.
