The Waywayseecappo Wolverines have added some much needed size to their line-up with the acquisition of Robert Grochmal from the Drumheller Dragons (AJHL). Grochmal had one goal and two assists in five games with Drumheller this season. At 6'4, the 18 year-old right winger is expected to add a bit of a scoring touch in addition to a physical element of size and toughness. Meanwhile, JJ McGrath has joined the team after being dealt from Bonnyville over a week ago. McGrath has previous SJHL experience with the Flin Flon Bombers and now joins the Wolverines for his first MJHL stop. The Swan Valley Stampeders have traded rookie defenseman Clint Holliday to the Melfort Mustangs (SJHL) for future considerations. Holliday started the season in Yorkton and went to Swan Valley in the middle of training camp. He played two regular season games with the Stamps and was held pointless. The MJHL head office has suspended Neepawa's Scott Wilkinson for one game as a result of receiving an instigator penalty in the final ten minutes of a game against Winkler Tuesday night. Stemming from that same contest, Winkler's Darren Seib has been levied with a two game holiday after picking up a match penalty for head butting. Here are some other trades involving MJHL and SJHL teams from earlier this week. The playing rights of 5'10, 175 lb centreman T.J. Sutter (07/16/85 Ð Redvers, SK) have been transferred from the Vernon Vipers (BCHL) to the Nipawin Hawks for future considerations. The playing rights of 5'11, 180 lb right winger Marty Parenteau (05/10/84 Ð Chatwynd, BC) have been transferred from the Yorkton Terriers to the Waywayseecappo Wolverines (MJHL) for future considerations. The playing rights of 6'2, 205 right winger Jason Butler (05/02/83 Ð Souris, MB) have been transferred from the Estevan Bruins to the OCN Blizzard (MJHL) for the playing rights of defenceman Chris Hammett (07/07/84 Ð Bienfait, SK). Jason Butler played 55 games last season for the Bruins and accumulated 11 goals and 11 assists for 22 goals and 172 penalty minutes. Winkler obtained Heck's playing rights from the Bonnyville Pontiacs of the Alberta Junior Hockey League for future considerations. OCN transferred the playing rights of defenceman Garrett Hildebrandt to Dauphin for the playing rights of goalie Francis Quintal. OCN transferred the playing rights of forward Chris Hammett, 19, to the Estevan Bruins of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League for the playing rights of right winger Jason Butler, 20.
