The Dauphin Kings of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League have acquired the CHA playing rights of 17 year-old forward John Lawrence of Steinbach, MB from the OCN Blizzard of the MJHL for 19 year-old forward Benji Husband of Dauphin, MB. The Dauphin Kings have also acquired the CHA playing rights of 19 year-old goaltender Danny Tomassoni of Chisholm, Minnesota from the Yorkton Terriers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) for future considerations. The Portage Terriers of the MJHL have acquired the CHA playing rights of 18 year-old forward Marlon Joseph of Winnipeg, MB from the Winnipeg South Blues of the MJHL for 19 year-old forward Brent Gillis of Elie, MB and 20 year-old defenceman Curtis Budgell of Portage la Prairie, MB. The Dauphin Kings of the MJHL have acquired the CHA playing rights of 18 year-old defenceman Delaney Bonish of Fort Qu'Appelle, SK from the Notre Dame Hounds of the SJHL for future considerations. The Southeast Blades of the MJHL have acquired the CHA playing rights of 19 year-old forward Mike Watkins of Maple Ridge, B.C. and the MJHL list rights of 18 year-old defenceman Brad Sinclair from the OCN Blizzard of the MJHL as part of the future considerations payment regarding the Justin Tetrault deal. Also, Leif Thorkelson of the Portage Terriers has been suspended for two games as a result of receiving his sixth 10-minute misconduct penalty.
