The La Ronge Ice Wolves have traded overage forward Nevin Rumpel to the Lloydminster Blazers of the AJHL. The 20 year-old Regina native has been at home awaiting a trade since being told by the Yorkton Terriers in training camp that he would not be a member of their top six forwards. He was subsequently traded to La Ronge in a deal that saw the Terriers acquire Dustin Nehring a couple of weeks ago. Rumpel refused to report, and now the Wolves have dealt him to Lloydminster in exchange for 18 year-old Riley Doell. Doell has one goal and no assists in eight games. He has also picked up 17 penalty minutes. Meanwhile, Melfort and Waywayseecappo have reached an agreement that sees towering defenseman Jeff Cutting joing the MJHL's Wolverines in a future considerations transaction. The SJHL also, officially, released details of the Mike Watkins to OCN for Justin Magnuson (to Weyburn) deal that Prairie Sportslink announced over the weekend.
