Kelly Carrington Staff Writer Heading into this weekend, the Nipawin Hawks were sitting pretty with five wins and one loss, good for 10 points, in their first six games of the season, calling first place home in the Bauer Conference Conference. In the Sherwood Conference, the Yorkton Terriers, Notre Dame Hounds and Weyburn Red Wings were in a first place tie with six points each. The Flin Flon Bombers found themselves in third place of the Bauer Conference with seven points, following three wins, one loss and one shutout loss in six games. The Melville Millionaires brought up the bottom of the Sherwood Conference with one win, two losses and one shutout loss in four games, as they sat with three points. Sitting in a similar position, the La Ronge Ice Wolves brought up the bottom of the Bauer Conference with one win and five losses in their six games, good for two points. This past weekend, the Bombers hosted the Kindersley Klippers in a double header weekend. Starting Friday night, the Klippers faced off with four points to their name Ð two wins and three losses in five games.
