Today is the final day to take advantage of the seat sale for the upcoming Flin Flon Junior Bomber season. At last count, a total of 810 tickets had been sold, although the office was closed on Monday due to the union holiday. The Bombers have led the league in attendance for the past five seasons, and have a good head start on their competition to do the same this year. Hockey fans in Flin Flon have many reasons to be excited about the upcoming season. Coach Ryan Hoffman has been busy recruiting players, and has signed some top prospects to Junior 'A' cards already. Goaltender Paul Reimer has accepted a scholarship with a Division III school in New York, but Francois Laverdiere will be back. Laverdiere was sensational in net for the Bombers since arriving from Quebec near the trade deadline last season, and is sure to be an all-star as a 20 -year-old in the SJHL. As well, the Bombers have inked a deal with the agent that brought Laverdiere to Flin Flon. This connection is the same one that stocked the Humboldt Broncos during their championship season in 2002-03. The Bombers have a solid crop of players eligible to return as well, including Joe Gori, Andrew Skrabek, Joey Moggach, Clayton Geiger and Stewart Sjoberg.
