The Border Explorers Snowmobile Club is a Flin Flon based, non-profit snowmobile club with membership in both provincial snowmobile associations, Manitoba's Snoman and Saskatchewan's SSA. They are families, young and old, business owners, business managers, employees, professional people and retirees. They are volunteers from the communities of Flin Flon, Creighton and Denare Beach. What Do They Do Host provincial snowmobile safety courses Assist in ground search and rescue Provide Rescue Boggan Provide maps of local major trails, at cost Supply and install signage for local designated trails Install flag and reflector stakes for local major trails, crossings and lakes Supply and install directional signage at designated trails for safe passage Supply and operate equipment to maintain designated trails for everyone's comfort Provided material and labour for creek crossing on Pine Root Trail (main beams donated by DBM) Provided support annually for Ride for Sight Donated to Ride for Sight Support and participate in Operation Red Nose Worked at identifying provincially recognized trail links between Flin Flon, Creighton, Denare Beach, Bakers Narrows, Cranberry Portage and The Pas Provided a new snowmobile to be raffled off at Christmas time for the last 14 years Drag trail for the Friendship Centre Dog Races Provide trail assistance for the Dog Races Organize trail picnic and rides for all to attend (you just have to phone in your intention) and show up with your snowmobile Organized snowmobile drag and radar races at Denare Beach for 14 years Hosted a provincial Snowman meeting and rally Hosted a regional Snowman meeting and rally Hosted Saskatchewan's Provincial Snowmobile Festival Work with local businesses to increase sales Work toward a snowmobile friendly area Maintain two warm up shelters The Border Explorers Snowmobile Club promotes safety.
