Figure skaters from the Flin Flon Club passed their testing with flying colours. Shilo Baribeau, successfully completed her junior bronze skills and junior bronze elements, while Rikki Crone, Kara Rutley, Brandi Hanna and Mikayla Gawiak earned their senior bronze skills and Dayle Nivon has her Dutch Waltz. "They did very well," coach Carla Wabick says "They skated above average and passed well." All the girls graded 'good' during the evaluation and she's pleased with how things went. "When they do skate well, it's nice," she says. "They did the work you ask them and it makes you proud because they've put in the work." With testing out of the way, skaters now prepare themselves for a competition in Winnipeg at the end of November called SuperSkate. Working on solo skate elements is one of the procedures the girls will work on as they compete against other skaters from Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and a few south of the border. Competitors will skate in front of judges displaying their programs, as this will be a chance to fine tune any problems so they are ready for regional competition in Thompson on Jan.14.
