The SJHL's Yorkton Terriers were just one win shy of an RBC berth this year. The Terriers suffered a 1-0 loss to the AJHL Brooks Bandits in Sunday's final game at the Western Canada Cup. The Bandits will advance to the RBC Cup in Summerside, PEI, this coming weekend. The Surrey Eagles, from the WCC tournament, will advance to the RBC Cup as the downed the Bandits Saturday night. The WCC was hard fought for the Terriers as they played six close games _ earning a 4-3 win over the host Nanaimo Clippers, defeating the Steinbach Pistons 3-2, suffering a 2-1 loss in overtime to the Bandits, and falling 4-2 to the Surrey Eagles to end the round-robin action. The Terriers earned a 5-3 win over the Clippers in the 3rd vs 4th final game, but eventually lost 1-0 to the Bandits on Sunday.
