The Yorkton Terriers were looking strong in the Western Canada Cup tournament after Sunday's win over the MJHL's Steinbach Pistons. With a day off on Monday, the Terriers were back to the grind yesterday afternoon as they took on the Brooks Bandits of the AJHL. As of Monday morning, the Terriers led the tournament with four points and a perfect 2-0 record. The Nanaimo Clippers and Brooks Bandits were tied for second with a 2-1-1 record and two points each. The Steinbach Pistons and Surrey Eagles were tied for last place, with zero points, and one loss each. The 2013 Western Canada Cup tournament involves the Brooks Bandits, Surrey Eagles, Nanaimo Clippers, the Pistons, and the Terriers. The seven-game regular round-robin series started Friday and will wrap up with Game 10 tomorrow night between the Clippers and the Pistons. Games 11, 12, and 13 are scheduled for this weekend to determine which teams will compete in the 2013 RBC Cup.
