Kelly Carrington Staff Writer The La Ronge Ice Wolves were down 2-0 in the ANAVET Cup series against the Portage Terriers following the weekend. Portage came on strong as they took game one with a commanding 5-3 victory over La Ronge. Game two went to Portage, with a similar score of 5-1. With 10 goals under their belts, the Terriers were ready to take on the Ice Wolves, who earned four goals, in the third game. Last night, the teams faced off for game three, in La Ronge. As of press time Monday, the game had not yet started. The Ice Wolves were going to need Tuesday night's game to not be painted even farther into a corner. Game four of the series goes tonight, in La Ronge. If Portage wins both game three and four, the series is over with a Terrier sweep. However, if the Ice Wolves pull a win out of either game, the teams face off for game five, in Portage, tomorrow. Games six and seven, if needed, will be in La Ronge and Portage on Saturday and Sunday.
