The Portage Terriers took a commanding 3-games-to-1 lead in the ANAVET Cup series on as they downed the Humboldt Broncos 4-1 at the Elgar Petersen Arena. The Terriers led by as much as 4-0 before Spencer Braaten finally broke through with a powerplay goal at 6:49 of the third. Cole Brunet, Ryan Audino, Eric Delong, and Cory More scored for Portage. The Broncos tried to keep the series alive last night. They were counting on more production from their forwards as only one player had more than one point in the series. Heading into last night's game, their leading scorers, Brady Wacker and Tanner Vandesype, had three points and were both blueliners; although Wacker suited up as a forward in game four on Wednesday.
