Kelly Carrington Staff Writer The 17 and Under International hockey team from Sweden took the SJHL by storm as they earned a W in four out of four barns. Team Sweden took on the Battlefords North Stars for their final game in the exhibition series and kept the win to themselves. The visitors earned a 5-2 victory over the home team, Monday night. Previous to the North Stars, the Swedes took on the Flin Flon Bombers, then the La Ronge Ice Wolves and then a game against the Humboldt Broncos. Coming into the small tournament, the teams knew it was going to be a tough challenge Ð as it's an International team. Team Sweden plays a faster game than the SJHL sees with quick hands on their sticks and faster feet. "The Swedes left a definite impact on the SJHL teams that they played," read the SJHL website. "Those that went to games should keep programs to see what players are on the Swedish National Junior team over the next couple of years and look to see if a player gets taken in the NHL draft. A superstar of tomorrow was likely on SJHL ice over the past week." The SJHL is back in action with the regular season as the 2011 part has already begun.
