There has been a lot of talk regarding family teams, a couple of specific teams, and a "Rusty Old Tin Cup" in our upcoming Roller Goodwin Hockey Tournament! Well, it's time to put that off to the side and to talk about a real hockey team. The team in question is Stew Lloyd's All Stars, aka, "The Dirty Dozen". This team of destiny was formed just a few short years ago from 'has beens' and 'never weres'. Since then, this team has run rampant over their opposition. To quote an old hockey star, Ted Lindsay, "...aggressive hockey is back in town!" If the fans of Flin Flon and surrounding area are looking for a team to adopt . . . look no further! This all star team is known for its speed, reckless abandon, and tenacious checking. With a wide array of stars, including, Bob "Mad Dog" McIver, Bob "Bolt of Lightning" Bloxom, Dennis "Polo the Enforcer" Polonich, Bob "Moon Dog" Njegovan, Brett "Double Mac" McElroy, Brady "Knuckles 2" Lloyd, Darcy "Grizzly" Hayes, Rick "Red Rocket" Shirran, Ken "Marathon Man" Entwistle, and anchored by Stew "Lady Byng Winner" Lloyd. This team is a force to be reckoned with following its 2-0-2 record from last year. This year we are looking forward to another new challenge when we take on Wade Lowe's "Rocks", soon to be known as the "Pebbles", and Kritzer's "Bantams", soon to be known as the "Pee Wees". In closing, following all our games the team will always be available to the press and to our fans. We will also be hoisting a few cups, and let me tell you, they won't be made of "tin"! Good luck to all the teams, and let's have a great old Flin Flon time!
