The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League has handed down suspensions as a result of multiple fight incidents that occured on Sunday, October 24th between the Weyburn Red Wings and Estevan Bruins. Estevan forward Cameron Jarvis has been given the heaviest penalty of five games. It was determined Jarvis ignored a referee's order and left the bench area to instigate a third fight resulting in a multiple fight situation. Also for the Bruins, forward Chris Hammett and defenseman Scott Collier have each been suspended for two games for their participation. Goaltender Juliano Pagliero has been suspended for two games for his participation and also suspended an additional game for leaving the crease to engage in a fight. The Bruins were also fined $400 for being the team that instigated one of the multiple fight situations. Weyburn defenseman Matt Wheeler has been suspended for two games for participating in a multiple fight. Goaltender Blair Hebert receives the same penalty as Pagliero, which is two games for participation and also an additional game for leaving the crease. He'll miss games this weekend on the 29th and 30th as well as November 2nd. In addition, a warning has been given to Daryl Fransoo to refrain from misconduct or fighting penalties prior to the start of a period or at the final buzzer of a period as a result of his actions during the warm up. The Red Wing Hockey Club has been fined $200 for Fransoo's actions during pre-game warm-up. An additional $200 in fines were assesed for Weyburn's second multiple fight case of the season.
