With a jam-packed summer coming to an end, Creighton Recreation Director Channa Senyk, along with her summer workers and the In Motion committee, put together a year-end party at the Lions Spray Pool. More than 50 people attended the party throughout Friday afternoon. Senyk, new at the gig, didn't have too many expectations for the day, but she says "I was very pleased." And she adds, "I wasn't expecting so many people to show up, but it was great." Most importantly, "the kids had fun," says Senyk. The last couple of weeks, as far as weather goes, saw numbers drop at the spray pool, but for the year-end party "we were pleased with the numbers," she says. As far as In Motion is concerned, "it was a fun day for everyone," says Senyk. More then two dozen kids took the opportunity to play games such as the parachute, golf, hula hooping and skip rope. "This was a good In Motion event," says Senyk. And she adds, "the weather could have been better, but it wasn't bad."
