Aspiring sailors are invited to participate in the Precambrian Sailing Club's fifth Mobile Sailing School _ which will be based at the Main Beach in Denare Beach Tuesday through Friday July 2-5. As an affiliate of Sail Manitoba (SM), the local club is able to take advantage of this great program. SM is sending up two certified instructors and 10 boats. The course is aimed at beginners as well as folk who want to refresh their sailing skills. The program is for young guys _ aged seven and up _ as well as for teens and adults. The younger sailors will be in the six single-hander Prams, while the older and larger sailors will be in four double-hander Flying Juniors. There will be morning and afternoon groups. All instruction is based on the new CANSail standards. Younger students will be taught the Wet Feet program while older students follow the CANSail 1 & 2 programs. At the end of the week, students receive a progress report and a certificate indicating the level they have reached. Graduates of our earlier Schools have attended other Sail Manitoba courses at Gimli and elsewhere and have represented the NorMan Region at the Manitoba Summer Games in 2008 and 2012. For further information _ and to register _ please contact Dave Price at (204) 687-8653 or Buz Trevor at (306) 362-2530. Note that we have had full rosters at some of our earlier Sailing Schools _ so early registration is recommended. To find out more on Manitoba sailing, check www.sailmanitoba.com
