On the evening of Tuesday, April 19, the Aqua Doves held their annual Water Show. Eleven Doves were adorned with Knox gelatin and brightly covered make-up eager to show off their routines. The evening was well attended and the Aqua Doves extend a huge note of appreciation to the parents, extended family and public for their support. On April 9 and 10, the Aqua Doves competed in the Crocus Challenge located in Winnipeg. The girls competed with the same routines they performed on Tuesday evening at the Aqua Centre. The following are the results from the Crocus Challenge. Tier 1 Solo: Jenna Rudd - gold medal; Corey Allen - silver medal; Dallas Mihalicz - bronze medal Tier 2 Solo: Karma Cridland - silver medal Tier 3 Solo: Jennifer Kritzer - gold medal; Kayla Nelson - silver medal; Morgan Wenger - bronze medal Tier 4 Solo: Jessica Vaillancourt - gold medal Tier 4 Duet: Jillian Rudd / Nikki Vancoughnett - bronze medal Tier 5 Solo: Cara Hill - gold medal For swimmers eager to learn the sport of synchronized swimming, Synchro Canada's Star Program offers progressive step by step instruction and evaluation for all swimmers who have completed Aqua Quest 5. The Aqua Doves are always excited about new participants at practice. Come and see what synchronized swimming has to offer! The next season will begin in September 2005.
