Children from Pre-K to Grade 4 in Creighton Community School are being rewarded for playing it safe while riding their bikes beginning this week. Creighton School is making coupons available to adults who are then to present them to youngsters who are spotted practicing bike safety. Parents and other adults in the community are encouraged to give students a coupon for riding their bikes safely. Children can then bring their coupons to the school office and be recognized. All coupons will be entered into a draw for bicycle prizes. As well, there will be a draw for two bikes at the year-end assembly. Safe bicycling can include wearing a helmet, using hand signals, following the rules of the road and walking a bike when it is safer to do so. Creighton residents may pick up the coupons at Creighton Community School.
