Students in both the Flin Flon School Division and the Creighton School Division are learning about the impact Terry Fox left on not only Canada, but the world. Students in Grade 5 and 6 from Ruth Betts Community School and Ecole McIsaac School will be running, or walking, in the traditional Terry Fox Run this week. The Fitness Trail at Creekside Park will be put to good use this week as the students will make their way around the track in honour and memory of Fox. Though the run is for students in Grade 5 and 6, students at both schools are contributing to the Terry Fox Foundation with week long activities. Creighton Community School will be holding their Terry Fox Run on Thursday, September 26 as students will make their way around the town. As an extra incentive, students at Ruth Betts Community School will have the chance to win a pizza party and movie for the class who raises the most money.
