Kelly Carrington Staff Writer Following the Bombers' regular season, goaltender Devin Buffalo and Forward Riley Storzuk earned extra credit. Buffalo was named SJHL Rookie of the Year, while Storzuk earned the team scoring title. In 46 games, Storzuk had 22 goals and 36 assists for 58 points. The returning forward spent 31 minutes in the penalty box. 'We're extremely happy with his season,' said head coach and GM Mike Reagan. Reagan says if Storzuk had not missed games due to injury, he 'would have been amongst the top in the SJHL.' In the 2010-11 season, Storzuk put up 16 points in 57 games for the Bombers. This past season marked an impressive jump up for the Wynyard, Sask., native. Reagan says 'it's nice to know we've got a guy competing for the scoring title.' Meanwhile, goaltender Buffalo was named one of two winners of the league's Rookie of the Year award. During the 2011-12 season, Buffalo played 38 games. With 2,104 minutes between the pipes, he ended the season with 118 goals against, 18 wins, 14 losses and a save percentage of 0.909. In the Survivor Series, the Bombers played against the La Ronge Ice Wolves, Buffalo was in net for all three games, a total of 151 minutes. He allowed 10 goals, one empty netter, and recorded two losses and a save percentage of 0.919. Both Buffalo and Storzuk are eligible to play for the Bombers in the 2012-13 season.
