The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League Player of the Week for the period ending February 15th is Mitch Woods of the Battlefords North Stars. Woods, a 1986 born native of Prince Albert, had one goal and one assist in a 4-1 win over the Melfort Mustangs on February 7th. He followed that up with two goals and two assists on February 11th in a 5-2 decision over the Weyburn Red Wings. Woods finishes second on the Stars in goals with 21 and third in team scoring with 44 points. He also led the team in penalty minutes with 207. Other players considered were Yorkton's Chris Korchinski, Notre Dame's Kyle Reed, and Josh Belair of the Nipawin Hawks.
