Another senior with a great round was Cal Hammond shooting a sizzling 37. Good for low gross and with 17 points helped his foursome to top spot with 13 points. With Cal were Gerry Hart, Jack Larsson and Bert Graves. Second with 12 points, Dave Negrych, Red Nelson, Don Melien and Gil Labarre. Brian Row won low gross with a net 29 and helped his foursome to third place with seven points. With Brian were Glen Campbell, Gord Brown and Stan Curtis. Fourth with four points, Jim Russell, Doug Ormiston, Bob McKay and Waly Ariko. Fifth with four points, Ted Steventon, Al Brown, Ron Thorley and Grant Adams. Sixth with one point, Bev Baker, Ron Watt, Ken McKay and Ron Wiebe. Seventh with minus one point were, George Komanac, Dan Hamilton, Ron Bailey and Ken Allen. We had 45 seniors out to enjoy the day. George Komanac got closest to the cup on #6 and won the loonie pot and Hugh Howat, with a nine foot putt was the best on #8. We enjoyed having former Flin Flon Bomber Gerry Hart and native Flin Flonner Winston Hampson with us. Again a reminder of our annual Seniors Golf Tournament on August 13 with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. Get your name into the Pro Shop and enter early. If not on a foursome, get your name in anyway and the Pro Shop will put you in with one. Our next scramble will be on Wednesday August 2nd. First four off #1 tee at 8 a.m.
