It was a wet Wednesday and still Ron Wiebe shot our first sub par round shooting a crisp 35 and scoring a new points record of 19. Broke our record in points from last week when Bill Martinot made 18 points. Our seniors are getting better. Best net score was recorded by Bob McKay with 32. Our top foursome with seven points, Jack Larsson, Ted Hampson, Tom Ianone and Red Nelson. Second with four points, Mel Brough, Dave Negrych, Glen Campbell and Al Brown. Two foursomes tied for third spot with three points, Al Bhatt, Doug Anderson, Gord Brown, Ted Steventon and Paul Warga, Barry Smith, Waly Ariko, Terry Grindle. Fourth group with two points, Bob McKay, Hugh Howat and Bob Quinn. Fifth with zero points, Metro Lekopoy, Ron Watt, Ken Allen and Grant Adams. Sixth with minus two points, Harold Carr, Bryan Dixon, Ron Wiebe and Ron Thorley. Doug Anderson won the loonie pot on #6 with a closest and Ted Baumgartner had the best putt on #8 at nine feet. Plans are now complete for the annual Seniors Golf Tournament on August 13. Get your foursomes organized and enter in the Pro Shop for the shotgun start and dinner by LeeAnne and staff in the concession. Our next seniors scramble will be on Wednesday, July 19.
