The Hapnot Kings and Kweens soccer teams were south this weekend for the Rural Provincial Championships. The Kings played in the wild card game on Thursday against Minnedosa, but lost, and did not advance to the Provincial Tournament. The Kweens played their first game in Shoal Lake at 9:30 a.m. on Friday morning, where they fell short by a score of 3-2 to Beausejour. Hapnot's goals were scored by Stephanie Trueman and Michelle Pettersen. Eileen Pawliuk was named the player of the game for Hapnot. The loss dropped them to the consolation bracket, where they lost a defensive battle 1-0 to Swan Valley. The second loss eliminated them from the tournament.Stephanie Trueman was Hapnot's player of the game.
