The Northern Lights Water Ski Club isn't waiting for the ice to melt to start preparing for the upcoming season. They will be having an informational meeting on Wednesday, April 28, 7 p.m. in the Flin Flon Public Library. The Club has been around for approximately 10 years now, and are hoping to move from Angell's Marina to the Main Beach in Denare Beach to utilize their facilities, as the club is looking to work closer with the Denare Beach Recreation Board. Also this summer, the Club has been asked to do a demonstration on Ross Lake during the Trout Festival, and is looking to host a water ski tournament in August. Volunteers are needed for both events. The club has qualified instructors, and all equipment is provided. Anyone wanting to join the Club can attend the meeting. If there is enough interest, the club will be offering clinics during the summer. For more information, contact Steve at 687-7168 (day) or 687-7737 (evening), or Gerry Angell, 362-2122.
