The Ski Club's Open House on Saturday was a great success. It was well attended, and a dozen or so adults and families took advantage of the 10% discount and purchased memberships. Several sets of skis, boots and poles changed hands at the Swap Shop, and Ron Horn of Fresh Air Experience said that his sales were so brisk that he definitely plans to be back for next year's Open House. The piles of donuts and cookies at the concession were significantly smaller by the end of the afternoon. Some members have already skied around the Valley and Carlisle loops ? a bit rough in places, but with the snow presently coming down, it looks as though we could be in for quality skiing quite soon. The track crew will be out this week packing the trails, and there may be enough snow on the ground shortly to set some tracks. As soon as the trails are in reasonable shape, the Valley Loop lights will be turned on for evening skiing. Ski Club memberships may be purchased at Dembinsky's on Main Street, and occasional skiers can put their daily trail fees in the box at the trail head.
