The Flin Flon Ski Club is having their annual Open House and Swap Shop at the Chalet this Saturday, December 4 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Anyone looking for information on the local club, upgrades on their equipment or to get rid of some of the old equipment is welcome to come out. There will also be demonstrations and a concession available. If you are looking for new ski equipment, Fresh Air Experience from Prince Albert will be on hand to answer all of your questions. "We need a bit more snow yet, but we've got a good start," said Dave Price, vice-president of the Flin Flon Ski Club. "We will start packing the snow that we've got with the Club's Alpines shortly." The Ski Club will be hoping for excellent trail conditions on Sunday, February 20, 2005 when they will be hosting the 30th annual Centaloppet. This is a mass-participation event for the whole family. For the more competitive skier, the club is hoping to revive the Revival Loppet on Sunday, February 6, 2005. If the season is good, the Jackrabbit program will also run again this year, although volunteers are still needed to assist with the delivery of the program. The Club will be offering ski instruction sessions as soon as there are skiable trails. Also, it is likely that there will once again be a Special Olympics ski group this season. For more information on this program, contact Heather Todoschuk at 687-8568. Memberships for the season will be available at the Open House for 10% off the regular price. If you can't make it to the Open House, memberships are available at Dembinsky's at the regular price. For more information, contact the club president, Larry Linnick at 687-5073 or vice-president Dave Price at 687-4317, or check out the web site at www.goecities.com/ffskiclub.
