Expectations have doubled for the Creighton Skating School as far as registration goes, which is leaving coach Sheri Parr Campbell pleased. For this first year, Parr Campbell says she, along with coach Ray Donaldson, would have been happy with 40 or 60 kids. "We've got about 90 kids registered and there are still more interested," she says. And she adds, "it was a pleasant surprise." Parr Campbell attributes the larger than expected number of hopeful skaters to "lots of new ones (kids) this year." Both the Can Skate and Pre-power programs are "huge," says Parr Campbell. Before becoming a coach, she took the Can Skate program with the Flin Flin Skating Club. The Creighton Skating School starts October 9 and will run until mid-March. For those who missed the first registration date, a second one will be taking place at the Sportex on September 14 and 15. For more information, contact Sheri Parr Campbell at 688-4136 or Ray Donaldson at 688-7246.
