The Melfort Mustangs have acquired 18-year-old forward Nathan Brummitt from the Olds Grizzlys of the Alberta Junior Hockey League for future considerations. The Calgary AB native played 23-games and had five goals and five assists this season with Olds. He played his first game as a Mustang on Sunday against Estevan. The Melville Millionaires and Nipawin Hawks made a one for one swap just minutes prior to the December 1st roster cutdown deadline. The Hawks receive 18-year-old forward Brett Kuglin from the Mils in exchange for 19-year-old forward Scott Klein. Kuglin has played 27-games this season and scored four goals and three assists. Klein was recently acquired from the BCHL and dressed in four games for the Hawks. He had seven penalty minutes. In the final SJHL trade made prior to the December 1st midnight roster cutdown deadline, the Nipawin Hawks have acquired 18-year-old defenseman Marcus Halcro from the Coquitlam Express of the BCHL for future considerations. Halcro played 37-games last season with the Prince Albert Mintos 'AAA' Midget club and scored three goals and seven assists.
