The La Ronge Ice Wolves and Kindersley Klippers swapped 20-year-olds over the weekend when the Ice Wolves acquired Kevin Buyan from the Klippers in exchange for Cole Geddes. Buyan had four goals and four assists in 18-games this season; although he had collected four points in his last five games with the Klippers. Buyan endured an injury riddled 2005-06 and was a highly productive player when he was in the line-up, collecting 10 points in 12 games. A native of Paddockwood SK, Buyan has been in the SJHL since he was 17-years-old. He has 17 goals and 32 assists in 131 games. Geddes was picked up by La Ronge earlier in the week from the AJHL's Okotoks Oilers. He had played seven games and scored five goals and one assist for the Oilers this year. Last season, he collected 12 goals and 24 assists in 49 games in the AJHL. The Klippers were expected to dress Geddes on Sunday against Flin Flon. On Oct. 28 the Estevan Bruins traded 1988 D Matthew Jacobucci to the OCN Blizzard (MJHL) for future considerations.
