The Estevan Bruins have traded defenseman Kade Ellis-Toddington and forward Jon Fieweger to the Southeast Blades for goaltender Kelsey Plett. Toddington, an 18 year-old from Regina, had played 11 games and registered two assists to go along with 10 penalty minutes this season with the Bruins. Fieweger had one goal and three assists in 12 games. He also racked up 38 penalty minutes. Fieweger is a 20 year-old American who originally went to training camp with the OCN Blizzard. Plett is a 20 year-old Riverton MB product who struggled to an 0-and-6 record with the Blades this season. His GAA was 7.72 and the SPCT was .819. Estevan's immediate plans for Plett aren't immediately known as the Bruins currently have capable netminders in rookie Justin Mrazek and veteran Andrew Arklie. The Melville Millionaires and Yorkton Terriers both added players to the mix on Wednesday in areas neither club seems to need help at. The Mills, who already lead the SJHL in offense by a considerable margin, have welcomed 18 year-old Esterhazy native Adam Flick to the fold after the speedy winger decided to leave the WHL's Regina Pats. Flick began the year in Prince George and played four games with the Cougars, picking up one goal. He suited for two games with the Pats before calling it quits. Last year, Flick played in Prince George as a 17 year-old and finished his rookie junior year with seven goals and 18 assists in 63 games. Meanwhile, the Yorkton Terriers have picked up netminder Pat Conacher Jr from the Penticton Panthers of the BCHL for future considerations. Conacher Jr is the son of former NHLer Pat Conacher, who is now involved in the Phoenix Coyotes organization. Conacher Jr went 14-11-1 with a 3.11 GAA and .908 save percentage with the Calgary Canucks of the AJHL last season. For Terrier fans, his numbers are similar to that of Nathan Fischl of the Humboldt Broncos, who was 18-8-1 with a 2.95 GAA and .896 save percentage with the St. Albert Saints. The Saints had a much better record than the Canucks last season. The addition of Conacher gives Yorkton four netminders, three of which are still in camp. Last year's number one goalie, Todd Veary, has played thirteen games this season and is awaiting a trade back home in Quebec. Dan Tomasonni was brought in from high school in Minnesota during the offseason and has seen very little playing time. Kevin Dziaduck arrived on the scene after being released from the Seattle Thunderbirds and is considered to be the uncontested number one.
