The Estevan Bruins have announced the trading of forward Matt Harms to the AJHL's Drumheller Dragons for future considerations. Harms played two years with the SJHL's Bruins and scored 16-goals and 27-assists in 53-games last season. For his career, he has 20-goals and 35-assists in 95-games. The 20-year-old Canmore, Alberta native is 5'8" 170Ibs and moves closer to home by playing with the Dragons. It's the second deal this month for the Bruins, who earlier acquired goalie Juliano Pagliero from the Fort McMurray Oil Barons in a three player swap. BRUINS- MUSTANGS SWAP The Estevan Bruins picked up 20-year-old forward Britt Dougherty from the Melfort Mustangs on Wednesday. Dougherty has played his last two junior seasons with the WHL's Regina Pats. The 6'2" 191-Ibs winger collected two assists and eighty penalty minutes in 46-games in 2003-04. In 2002-03, Dougherty had one goal and one assist in 46-games with 113-penalty minutes. According to Bruin Head Coach Kelvin MacKay, Dougherty may have a try-out option in the East Coast Hockey League and is also eligible to return to the Pats for his overage season. WHL teams are limited to three 20-year-olds. In return for Dougherty, the Mustangs receive an unspecified list player (according to SJHL policy, list players are not identified) as well as future considerations.
