The Humboldt Broncos and La Ronge Ice Wolves have completed a 1-for-1 trade that sees the Ice Wolves re-obtain a former player. Riley Doell, born in 1985, is headed back to the Ice Wolves in exchange for 1986 born winger Kris McCarthy. Doell was sent by the Wolves to the Broncos just prior to the 2004-05 regular season as part of the trade that saw goalie Alex Gagnon go to La Ronge.Ê Doell scored 10-goals and 10-assists in 54-games in his only season with Humboldt. McCarthy scored one goal and one assist and racked up 56-penalty minutes in eleven games with La Ronge before leaving for personal reasons to play with Saskatoon Wesleys of the North Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.Ê McCarthy, who figures to be one of the toughest customers in the SJHL, fully intends to join the Broncos this Fall.8/24/2005
