The Estevan Bruins made a major three player trade on Wednesday as they acquired 20-year-old goalie Juliano Pagliero from the AJHL's Fort McMurray Oil Barons. Pagliero was third in the AJHL with a 2.39 GAA to go along with a .917 SPCT and a 22-14-and-6 record. In the playoffs, he was 12-and-9 with a 2.18 GAA and .927 SPCT. The Calgary native is expected to see a lion's share of the work between the pipes in Estevan as last year's rookie sensation, Justin Mrazek, has accepted a scholarship to Union. Returning 20-year-old Andrew Arklie has asked for a trade and will not be back with the B's for the upcoming season. In acquiring Pagliero, the Bruins had to bid good-bye to a pair of solid defensemen in Justin Schmit and Jared Mohr. The 19-year-old Schmit was tenth in the SJHL with 223 penalty minutes as a rookie. He also scored six goals and seven assists in 46-games. The 5'11", 180 Ib versatile player can also play forward and moves a little closer to his Strathmore, AB hometown. The 19-year-old Mohr is a 5'11" 185 Ib Regina product who scored four of his five goals last year on the powerplay. He had 19 points in 60 games.
