Kelly Carrington Staff Writer The 2012-13 hockey season isn't even over yet and teams are already looking to next year. A number of teams in the SJHL have set dates for their spring camps. The Flin Flon Bombers, who are currently in the Bauer Conference final against the Humboldt Broncos, are among the teams who have set dates. Their annual spring camp will be held in Saskatoon, as usual, at the Schroh Arena May 24-26. Young prospects will work to impress the coaching staff and scouts to earn an invite to the main camp in August. While the Maroon and White's camp is late May, many teams are looking to earlier camps. Teams already out of the playoffs will start their camps as early as April 5. Of the 12 teams in the SJHL, all but three have selected their dates and locations for Spring Camp. The Yorkton Terriers, who are still fighting for top spot in the Sherwood Conference, along with the La Ronge Ice Wolves and Estevan Bruins had not announced a date as of press time Friday. While Flin Flon travels to Saskatoon for the weekend, most teams host in their own arenas. The Battlefords North Stars, Notre Dame Hounds, and Nipawin Hawks were the three latest teams to announce their dates, as of Friday morning.
