Submitted by SJHL The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League has released its schedule for the 2011-12 regular Season. The SJHL regular Season will open Friday, September 16 with three games including the two-time SJHL champion La Ronge Ice Wolves opening at home against the Nipawin Hawks. The 12 teams will once again play 56 games along with two at the annual SJHL Showcase Weekend, which this year goes in Estevan at the brand new Spectra Place Arena October 14-16. Other games of note include the first game in the brand new Melville Multiplex as it will be played Saturday, October 1 against the Estevan Bruins. Hall of Fame Game The SJHL Hall of Fame Game presented by Highwood Distillers will go in Yorkton Friday, November 18 when the Terriers entertain the Humboldt Broncos. The league will break for the Holiday Season from December 22-29 with action resuming on the 30th. That will lead to the end of the season on February 21 with playoffs starting shortly after. The Canadian Junior "A" championship will be decided on Saskatchewan soil this year as the Humboldt Broncos host the Royal Bank Cup which will be played May 5-13, 2012.
