The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League is pleased to announce the launch of the 2009 President's Tour, which is highlighted by the official announcement of the renaming of the SJHL's Championship Trophy. SJHL President Laury Ryan and select league office officials will be visiting each SJHL centre beginning January 14 in Yorkton and ending February 17 in Flin Flon. Each visit will begin with a display of the Credit Union Cup, formally known as the Credential Cup, at the local Credit Union. The general public is invited to come see the Credit Union Cup at this time. "Saskatchewan credit unions are proud to sponsor the Credit Union Cup. We're excited to welcome SJHL president Laury Ryan and the Credit Union Cup to credit unions across the province, said Keith Nixon, executive vice-president of Corporate and Community Affairs at SaskCentral. "We invite SJHL fans to come out and have their picture taken with the Cup." A similar display with be set up at the local arena with corporate sponsors, league corporate sponsors and team fans all expected to be on hand to view the Credit Union Cup as well as the SJHL Showcase of Awards. "This figures to be a real trip down memory lane for some," says Ryan. "Fans will come up and see who won what trophy in what year. "It will be real nostalgic."
