SJHL President Laurie Ryan arrived in Flin Flon Tuesday morning with the Credit Union Cup. Setting up the display at the Flin Flon Credit Union Limited, Ryan held a media conference to discuss the President's Tour as well as the 2009-10 SJHL season. The tour, which will wrap up in La Ronge, was a way for Ryan to get to each of the centres and provide some history to those who are interested. "The tour is an opportunity to bring the Credit Union Cup...to each centre and...display the history of the cup," Ryan said. Past winners of the Credit Union Cup have moved forward to claim the ANAVET Cup. The SJHL has been in six of the seven last RBC national championship games, Ryan told the conference. "We are very proud of that," he said. The Credit Union Cup was later on display at the Whitney Forum for fans to see. As well, a history of the past winners was on display. "We invited the fans to come out and see (the) display," he said. "It's (for) the lover of hockey and (the) lover of the SJHL. It's a chance to go down memory lane." With Ryan in the barn, the Bombers won over the visiting Humboldt Broncos that night 3-2.
