An unofficial poll on www.prairiesportslink.com has people pitting the Flin Flon Bombers as a third-place team this year. The question posed on the site specifically is "who is the team to beat in the SJHL Dodge Conference?" Out of 226 votes at press time, 43 have been for the Bombers, or 19%. The Humboldt Broncos are in front with 61 votes or 27%, while the Battlefords' North Stars are second with 51 votes, or 23%. The Bombers are followed by Nipawin with 28 votes, then Kindersley with 20 votes. La Ronge had 13 votes, while the Melfort Mustangs weren't getting much support on the site with 10 votes. Although not a scientific poll, this should be welcome news for the Bombers, who haven't had much luck in the win column the last two seasons. Win or lose, the Bombers can count on the support of their fans.10/9/03
