In SJHL playoff action on Saturday night, the Kindersley Klippers became the first team through to the second round, beating the Battlefords' North Stars 3-2 to take the series in four straight games. Donald Milburn was the overtime hero in Yorkton as the Terriers beat the Melville Millionaires 7-6 to take a 3-1 series lead. On Friday, the Nipawin Hawks doubled Humboldt 4-2, and now the defending Royal Bank Cup Champion Broncos are facing elimination, down 3-1. Also on Friday, the Notre Dame Hounds beat the Weyburn Red Wings 4-2 to stay alive in their best of seven series. The Wings lead 3-1. The conference finals will begin on March 20, with the winners advancing to the MemberCARE Cup finals, April 3-18. The SJHL awards night is April 20, hosted by the MemberCARE cup winners.
